Mothers Day - A day to smell the roses

Sunday, May 13 - Happy Mother's Day !!!  A day in which we take time to reflect and say thank you for  our Mothers. I do hope for those people who no longer have their mothers, it is a time they can sit back and remember all the good times and memories of times past. Also, it is a time to think about all they taught us so we all can be successful in what we do today.

I am thankful my mother is able to be with me today. Sadly, as each year goes by, I see how she has started to slow down in her daily routine. Once, as an independent women, who was still cutting her grass up to 3 years ago is now, sits happily every day and smiles as she plays with my dogs and enjoys the company of my wife and I.

Today, I am including pictures of two of my mom's favorite flowers; roses and a lilac tree. Both found in my garden today.

I can remember growing up, looking out our back window and seeing the many rose bushes growing up the arbors in the back yards. It seemed these beautiful flowers were found everywhere in my moms gardens. Even today, many of these bushes are still seen in her side garden.

I hope everyone can take the time today, to relax and enjoy this day. With the beautiful weather we are anticipating today in South Jersey, it is time to say thank you for all they have done for us !!!!
